Wellness Guide
Wellness Guide
(Breathwork, Yoga, Meditation + Contrast Therapy)
MindFuel Method | Pittsburgh, PA
Join the team at Pittsburgh’s first Contrast Therapy + Breathwork studio, where we combine sauna, cold plunge, breathwork, and human connection to create powerful, shared wellness experiences.
Overview
As a MindFuel Guide, you are at the heart of the experience.
This is not a traditional “teach a class and leave” role. This is a hybrid position that blends facilitation, hospitality, and studio operations. You are holding space, guiding experiences, and actively maintaining the environment our community steps into.
We are looking for experienced facilitators who are grounded, people-first, and energized by creating meaningful experiences for others.
Not every Guide does everything — we hire based on strengths. You must have prior experience leading or coaching in some capacity, with a strong preference for those trained in breathwork, yoga/movement, or meditation.
All Guides will be trained in MindFuel’s contrast therapy method and are expected to support sauna and cold plunge experiences.
Current Hiring Focus
We are currently hiring 2–3 Guides in each of the following areas:
Guided Contrast Therapy (Rise, Release, Recover)
Breathwork Facilitation
Yoga
Meditation
Applicants should indicate which area(s) they feel most confident leading.
What You’ll Do
- Welcome guests with warmth, presence, and professionalism — setting the tone for their MindFuel experience from start to finish.
- Hold space during Open Flow sessions — guiding guests through sauna and cold plunge experiences while maintaining a safe, grounded, and connected environment.
- Lead or support guided sessions based on your area of expertise (breathwork, yoga, meditation, or contrast therapy).
- Own your zone — maintaining awareness of the space, guest experience, and flow of each session.
- Actively maintain the studio environment in real time — including cleaning, resetting, laundry, and keeping all areas (sauna, cold plunge, tea lounge) clean and organized.
- Open and close the studio with care, following established systems to ensure readiness and consistency.
- Monitor sauna and cold plunge conditions to uphold safety and hygiene standards.
- Create an intentional atmosphere through music, lighting, and communication.
- Build genuine relationships with members by learning names, remembering details, and showing up consistently.
- Support the Community Specialist team as needed — assisting with check-ins, questions, and overall guest experience.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to grow as a facilitator and leader within MindFuel.
Role Expectations
This is not a one-class teaching role.
Guides are present for their full shift — opening, facilitating, maintaining, and closing the studio while holding a high standard for both the guest experience and the physical space.
This is a team-first environment. We are looking for individuals who are willing to roll up their sleeves, take ownership, and contribute to the studio as a whole.
Qualifications
- Previous experience leading, coaching, or facilitating in a wellness, fitness, or similar environment is required.
- Certifications or formal training in breathwork, yoga, meditation, or related modalities are strongly preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills — able to hold space with confidence, clarity, and care.
- Emotionally intelligent, grounded, and comfortable guiding others through physically and emotionally impactful experiences.
- Reliable, professional, and detail-oriented — takes pride in maintaining a high standard of space and service.
- A genuine passion for wellness, mindfulness, and human connection.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and team-oriented environment.
Physical Requirements
- Able to stand, move, and be active for extended periods of time.
- Comfortable lifting up to 25 lbs and performing moderate physical tasks (cleaning, laundry, resetting spaces).
- Comfortable and confident working in environments with large temperature variations — including high heat (sauna) and cold, wet conditions (cold plunge) — as an active part of the role.
Schedule Expectations
- Must be available to work at least 2 consistent core shifts per week.
- Core shifts are set on a recurring weekly schedule to support consistency for the team and community.
- At least one core shift will be an Open Flow session.
- Additional opportunities to lead classes, sub shifts, and expand responsibilities are available as you grow within the role.
- Evening and weekend availability is required.
Compensation & Perks
- Starting at $16/hour, with opportunities for increased pay based on experience, performance, and expanded facilitation responsibilities.
- Complimentary unlimited standby membership (valued at $299/month).
- Ongoing training and mentorship in contrast therapy, breathwork, and facilitation.
- Opportunities for growth into leadership and expanded teaching roles.
- Access to select workshops and events for continued development.
- A fun, supportive, and community-driven team environment.
